Great hunts, thanks for posting!!! I too in my opinion think 6 s are the best, work great up close and far away too. I reload all my shells for trap, skeet, sporting clay, and hunting so it's not a problem to get 6 s to hunt with. Keep posting hunts !!!
Thanks scott
Dale: Super video!!! Made my day!! Am still amazed the crows hardly "flare" even when you stand up and amazed they do not see you across that beautiful wide open field... short blind, no face mask.. I love it!!! Our crows are a little more skittish I think.. and full face mask, full blind cover needed!! Perhaps our crows are too well trained by the time they get here.. who knows!! When does your season re-open?
I looked into to doing some reloading but it seems that shot price has risen to a point it doesn't make since to reload. I am very curious to know your point of view on it since you are doing it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Skip. Paul and I have a date to reintroduce ourselves to the new crop of crows bout October 20th, plus or minus a day or two. Season generally opens beginning of October but the areas we hunt crows don't show up until late October.

Hi
It has nothing to do with costs, it gives me what i want when i want it with out looking for it. I started loading when i was 8 for my father and i like doing it. I don't think i have ever bought any factory trap loads. I have about 800 crow loads loaded in 20 and 12 ga. All 6s 7/8th oz in 20 ga and 1 oz in the 12 ga. and have 7 bags of 6 s on the floor ready to load.
Craig, thank you “as I take a bow”. I thought I didn’t have the cameras rolling when for the dream shot which is why I was panicking on film haha.
I am a little disappointed I didn’t get a better angle of the kill zone on that shot. Kinda kicked myself in the butt for not checking the footage and doing another take.

If you didn't have a love note on your truck then I'd say that is a good sign.
I agree with 10ga on reloading. I reload all my crow loads but the cost savings is not what drives me to do it. I have grown to really like #7s and the only way to get them is if you reload them yourself. Plus, my 870 is like a spoiled wife...she likes the high quality brass and b!tches about working with the cheap stuff...so I gotta spend my time trying to keep her happy. On the plus side she doesn't mind being dirty, so then there is that.
