Excellent job.
You say "lay up", I say "cookie." At my age I don't jump much anymore, but I sure do like cookies! :)

Dale and Paul,

An epic hunt! And because of it, I’m guessing the crows are already making Voodoo dolls for both of you! Thanks for the fine video.

I'm surprised no one has chimed in on what sounds like the lackluster high pitch mouth calling sounds coming from me. I've practiced for days & days and just cant get the gargle down pat. But, like I told Dale on our first hunt my mouth calling doesn't sound good but it brings in crow's ! We had a lot of birds come in and just circle out of range and with some mouth calling they would come right in for a shot, not to mention how many I turned around to come back only to be dropped in the kill zone. We know crow's are curious, perhaps they just wanted to see who had the foreign accent ! lol.

Naw, camo you had that mourning style call ripping just fine. I would not tell you to shut up if you were in the blind next to me, lol.

You bring up a good point though. I get kinda lazy more often than not as far as mouth calling goes. I too often let the e-caller do it’s thing and leave it at that. In the hindsight of a hunt, I sometimes wonder if I mixed in some hand calling if it would help on a few birds.

We hand called for the first 30 minutes or so and I have to admit it is kinda cool killing them off the hand call, but I like you Jason get kinda lazy and just wanna let the e-caller do that work. No doubt we bagged a certain percentage of extra crows by hitting the hand calls.

Jason, I would like to consult your opinion on letting your partner borrow a gun; the question would be, what percentage of the kills made with the gun would be given to the guns owner? I was thinking at minimum 25%. Seems like a nice, fair number would you agree.

Dale,

You ask an excellent question. As a banker, I refer to the situation in question as negotiated collateral compensation. Your 25% return seems to be quite generous unless your partner cleaned the gun for you. I would start the negotiation at 50% and see what happens from there. You might end up with a clean gun, a free lunch, AND 25%.

Lol, sorry camo.

😂

Well, B.H. thank you for not beating me up on the mouth calling. As far as giving up some of the numbers on my clicker for using Dale's gun all I can say is I thought we had entered into a good faith agreement, no disclosures were presented to me about turning over a % of my bird count. you'll have to follow up with my attorney on this matter but unfortunately I don't have one ! Lol. What he left out is that he put 8 or 9 shells thru my model 12 just to try it out his own self, and since his kill ratio is better than mine I think we can call it a draw .

As, a lay person on subjects such as, negotiated collateral compensation I will defer to you Jason. I said 25% in part, to not come of as too greedy/*******ish but as you have mentioned and as I have mulled over the 50% starting point it seems a pretty reasonable ask.

I did cap a few bandits with the model 12, not fake news.
