Mattie,

Be patient and you'll get a good answer. It's been pretty dormant here for the last couple months.

The motor is run by 12V DC.  The battery I use is one of the sealed lead-acid rechargeable ones like in the picture.  I got mine at Batteries Plus at around $17, but the internet is full of them, ranging from $10 on up.  You will also need a small recharger.

A charged battery will keep the FF5 flapping for hours.

Hope this helps,

Demi

My FF-5 came with a smartphone app that allows for intermittent operation, flapper speed control and a “Quick Burst” feature. Can be adjusted remotely from the blind via Bluetooth. I assume they still have them available.

Mattie,

Check the game laws in your area. While many game wardens go pretty easy on crow hunters, using live birds for any kind of hunting is illegal in most states. Heap big fines and penalties.
