Read your post and it motivated me to check my equipment…I’ve got a hunt in the AM. Good Thing I checked!! Had a dead battery in my Foxpro transmitter, and pulling the battery connector off, one terminal came off with the battery!
After an initial bout of sheer panic, I did a little bit of “Redneck Re-engineering” and got it working again. Whew, that was close!!
Hope everyone’s season starts off with lots of Bang……...Thud’s!

Yup, it pays to check everything out before your first hunt.
Lithium AA batteries cost more than twice as much as last season! I bought a pack of 18 for twenty bucks last season, now for two packs of 8 it was $ 54.00 with the tax! They last the longest in the Fox Pro remotes so I bite the bullet and still use them.
Just painted my ole crow decoys. They are "Rock Crow" crow decoys that are the most durable I have ever used along with the Ever Crow decoys made in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. This is their 49th crow season coming up!
If it runs on low volume it will run on high volume so I spare the neighbors Mr. Randy. They do however get a jolt when I test fire a shotgun now and then in the backyard.
