Me.

I read you stuff and it is funny how many things we have in common.

I work in the HVAC industry, taught welding class, enjoy building and making things out of metal.

Crow hunt

Yote hunt to fill the gaps

And dirt bike.  I have 2 crf 250's race the vet class made it to B class and won a couple race, enjoy harescrambles now more then ever.

If I can only convince you of a trying a fox pro!!!!!!

Hey John
Small world!!!  I own a structural steel fabrication company,I mainley work with a phone and a calculator these days!!!no

My first bike in 1976 was a 76 RM-125,then a 77,then a 79.I then got my first 250 in 82 it was Can-am MX-6,I started racing MX that year. I got into Harescrambles in 86
for year or two I had three KTM's. In 1990 I started racing MX and Hare Scrambles again. This time on Yamaha WR YZ-250's I had three of those,I also have kept my favorite practice bike a KX500. In 1995 I finished third in NewEngland over thirty Expert in,NETRA Hare Scrambles. I then broke my leg real bad in 1996 so I kind of retired.
My biggest clame to fame was that I got taken out by Doug Henry in a race in Ct.just after he won his first national riding for DGY Yamaha. I also raced at the Dilla on my KX500,jumping off into the gravity cavity is a rush!!!biggrin
The picture of me in my Avatar is on Me at Southwick,Mass in 1991 on a 1990 KTM 250.smile  I can not ride any more because of arthritis in my hands,but I still get the urge when I smell that premix,and that turned over dirt in the woods!!!biggrin
I am kinda sorry I did not get to try the newer four strokes,I know I would have loved them,I always liked riding a gear tall and using the mellow torque.

P.S. I may have to get a CS-24 for my stable,I am an equal opertunity caller!!!
I would like have some of thier sounds!!smile

P.P.S. I was always a big fan of Honda's even though I never had one,I sure saw the back end of many!!!!disbelief

I followed motocross religiously throughout the '90's and early 00's. The McGrath/Emig rivalry was when I was really into it.

Getting taken out by Doug Henry, even racing against him at all, would be cool.

Now I ride a Husky SM610 supermoto bike. It's a lot of fun.

I bet that KX500 was a beast.

I am a big Husky fan from way back!!!I bet that thing rips!!biggrin I also have met John Dowd,he lives not far from me. He is still fast at age 45!!!! I think he and Doug Henry are some of the most humble and hard working,never say die riders out there. winner.gif
I saw Dowd chase Mcgrath a whole moto and just as he was about to catch him,his shock gave out, after Dowdy was out signing autographs,while other riders would have been sulking in the race truck!!! Reminds me of all you hard core varmint hunters!!!biggrin

I actually got into the supercorss qualifiers here in MN the first year supercross came to town.

I knew I did not have a chance but for 150 bucks I got to ride with the pro's  I was like a cone out there.  I only beat one guy, a friend I talked into to doing it with me.

I will have to post up a photo for you guys to check out this week.

That is is a steller collection,I forwarded that to my buddy Jim B.he was the AMA tech inspector for years,he knows all those guys!!! Great job!!!smile
Johnny O!!! holy cow that is a blast from the past!!! I started watching MX when Roger D. ,Gerrit Holsink and Heiki Mikkola were dominating the GP's!!!And Bob Hannah,Kent Howerton and Jammin Jimmy Weinert were battling in the nationals!!biggrin

Hell Yes, I know Bevo Forte,the big man!!! Yes Guy Cooper is a great rider,one of my riding pals rode at Guy's personal track,he is now a Fish & Game officer.There are just so many of these guys who rode thier buts off!! Hey how about JoJo Keller??
My favorite mag used to be run by Super Hunky,Clipper and the Wolfman!!smile
I just talked to my ex racing buddy and he is gearing up to ride the Baja,on a brandy new KTM!!! The guy is 49 and still can rip with the kids!!biggrin
