Crow ground gunz.

Small game season is coming up fast so I took a few of my favorites out for a shake down cruise, I have popped crows with all of these although my .17 HMR is my current ground crow favorite gun:

This is my Remington 597 .22, shes a tack driver:

This is my Benjamin Discovery .22 caliber pneumatic air rifle, pumps up to 2000 psi, off a bench at 30 yards I can shoot a hole then shoot shots through that hole, deadly on squirrels, woodchucks, crows, etc, probably my favorite squirrel gun:

This is my modded Crosman 1377C in .177 caliber pellet pistol, another tack driver, the funnest gun I own..I keep it in my rig and shoot it all the time for hunting and target :

This is a cattail I shot from about 30 yards with the air pistol...a favorite target, pull up to a swamp, plenty of targets, great practice if your a handgun hunter:

If youve never hunted with an air gun think it over, many advantages, quiet, cheap ammo, dead accurate, perfect for hunting in areas that are populated, I drop squirrels out of trees with my air rifle where I wouldnt shoot my .22 LR in the air.

Hi Nasty and Shane,

Nice gear... All of the TCP enjoy employing "air power", too, particularly when burning smokeless could result in jailtime.  I dropped 2 squirrels today with my RWS 52 in .177 with their Superdome pellets.  Our 90 pound Rottweiler mix - Augie - alerts on them and applies the finishing touch if my aim isn't perfect.

It is 104 degrees today in Big "D" so crow hunting, and the camo it requires, must wait until cooler temps arrive in mid to late September.  The TCP is chomping at the bit to get rolling on our favorite target.

Regards,

Nasty, Shane and Gadget:  You guys have some unique equipment, that's for sure!

JD: I'm sorry, I did notice the young lady in your avatar.

And that unusually aggressive crow assaulting her!

You should also understand that while the trigger finger was no where near the trigger and the muzzle was off on another heading, the fire director targeting computer had already delivered a shooting solution to 'control'!

Hi Nasty
That is the .22 caliber, longest shot was a pigeon at 80 yards,I got the stock from a guy on the Marauder site, and it is the cats meow, the adjustable stock is great for depolying in a vehicle as I drive around the stock yard looking for flyin rats.biggrin

Shane:

I used an  RWS Model 36 to interdict this pair one hot afternoon in my neighbors front yard.  .177 Beeman Wadcutter pellets.  Sixty one yards from front stoop.  Hit the mate as it came over to investigate non-responsive spouse.  Ably assisted by my two hounds and CO2 repeater.  (Fingers crossed on image!)

Nasty:

Why not slip that slick Crosman pistol of yours in a backpack and use that tool to effect the solution to your office visitor problem?

Rumor has it that most of the bandits that come into a TCP set up,get the firing sqaud treatment.  boo.gif

Roger that Shanedog!

Those featherweight shells we burn in our long guns throw less than an ounce of shot, so it is expected behavior to put another load into a crow headed for terra firma that your buddy just hit, unless, of course there are unengaged targets in range.

We really don't pay attention to individual scores - its the TCP TBC that counts and that's the only metric the orchard owner is interested in.

Have witnessed many a hapless bandit being struck simultaneously by more than one load from the 'coughing guns' and at relatively close ranges - poor dears don't know which way to go, so, they just come apart!

I saw the first air rifle, and knew shanedog would be here, then when I saw a blackriflemarauder pic, I thought my name might be mentioned. I have a RWS 850 in .177 on Co2 tuned by the 850 store, and will have a Evanix Rainstorm in .22 or Mrod in .25. That is unless the rainstorm comes out in .25, then there will be no mrod on the list.  As far as powder burners, I have a lightweight 10/22 converted to 17hm2, that will get the duty, unless  decide I need an AR in .17hm2 then the 10/17 will get sold.

NG I also shootem with a pellet gun, Gamo pro hunter & my favorite is an older Beeman 600, both tack drivers although I think the Beeman is a liitle more accurate. Theres just a liitle less spring recoil to the less powerful Beeman & I think that helps. Can I ask what the scope mount system on ur 1377 is ? thx

David  is real nice guy. I've been chatting with him for quite some time now on PM and he's helped me quite a bit. He works really hard at producing home films. If you get a chance you should look at some of his others.
