I may have found the right combination and finally a use for those junk foam deeks I have laying in the basement Shane I took the rods you sent me and used a grinder to take off the peg welded on the end of one of them. I then heated one of the real wing decoy madnets and pulled it off the stake they had it glued to. The magnet head from the stake slipped right on the end of the steel rod. It fit tight since the steel rod was not round from grindinig the weld. (I will end up glueing anyway) I stuck the rod through the belly of the foam deek and the reel wing stuck right to the top. I had to put the steel rod in the vice and bend a 45 in it so it would be level with the ground. We had about a ten mph wind today and it worked great!!!!! I might try a hard plastic deek just to see how much better it will last in the field. I wont be able to field test it til season but it may be the answer to movement in the deeks. I have a cam corder and will send you a disc of what ive done and you might be able to post it for me. Its gonna be a killer I think
