Hello Hizz,

First you have to be honest with yourself and ask yourself if this fella is giving you good advise or not? You said he dosen't hunt crows much, well that is very telling in itself wouldn't you think?

Do I think you can kill a few crows like that? Sure you can get a few, a very few! Crows are much more apt to zero in on something the size of a deer, cow, lamb or horse for a meal that they can feed on for days. They don't give a hoot if there is blood there or not, solong as it's dead or near dead. Just because a fella kills a few crows using food coloring or ketchup in the snow means he knows anything about hunting them, like the old saying goes and you can apply it to this situation "you can beat skill, but you can't beat luck" and thats pretty much it, luck when they tell you how great a method it is for them.

Eeeeeweww I have tried colored water on snow
guess what in deep snow it just goes to the dirt not much color on the snow
save your money on kechup and spend it on somthing else
I will say I have the sound crows and rabbit in distress and in the dead of winter it brought back in some I shot at for a second pass if you had a rabbit decoy or fur it might work better but they came back in for another lead bath after the first few barrages ended.
