Hey All I was going to hunt this a.m. but when I woke at 4:30 the wind was up big time.So I decided to go to work,well it started to look nice out so after work I went to one of my spots,they cut all my hiding corn,but not to worry,I made a nice blind in the hedge row,man it was was great! I had a roof of vines,the bandits never saw me when I would shoot. I picked up 7 out front ,but the wind was at my back so a lot of shots were station #8 and the crows fell in back of me in the brush.And of course I missed a crap load of easy shots. Half of the crows decoyed in without calling them.

We learned today that silence can be magic at a feeding setup. Alot of the birds came in silent and when we were silent as well. I guess sometimes just let decoys workgreat pics thanks for sharing

Looks good and sounds like fun. Do you use a sentry when you do a feeding set-up? I've been mainly R&G, but might try a feeding hunt sometime this year to see how it works.
Yep we call them sleepers down here,,, I like to get set up and make the deeks the last thing. I will usualy sit for 20 or 30 mins before hitting any type call it works 75% of the time. Shane I hit one of my pigeon haunts this weekend, I sent my son to the other side of the farm by the buffalo pasture. I kept hearing him shoot. After an hour or so I went to check on him. He had 17 pigeons and five crows laying there. I kinda got in his ass a little for shooting the crows but he looked at me and said but dad they are comming in to this feed bin and eaten this feed. I said dont shoot anymore its not season About then here comes four right at us about ten yards off the ground. We ended up with 9 crows and 29 pigeons. I could not hold back He backed me up on that volley and we got three. He just laughed and said I knew you could'nt stand it dad, I knew you were gonna shoot,,,,,,,,I said well why didn't you kill the 4th one then...LOL... You know depridation laws and all
And of course I missed a crap load of easy shots.
