Ok boys its on down south!!! Yesterday I scouted 2 roost that were very productive last year. The first one was a little early 3 hours before sunset. The birds began staging around 4:30 pm. I watched them feed and then move around the roost area. I then went to my larger roost and watched til almost darkbiggrin  Im getting goose bumps as I type this post, I watched several hundred birds fly in to the roost!!!!! We are in the midst of our first fall cold snap and they are bunching up big time down here. The birds kept pouring in from all directions to this roost. Last year I only shot it 3 times because I had to work days,,,, This season dad is working evenings, with about 4 weeks vacation set to start in November, it aint gonna be pretty. I look to kill GENERATIONS of these birds....wink

October 28. I'm getting excited about deer season starting Friday.

In my area of IL, we only have small groups of 7-12 crows scattered here and there. I went south a little around Robinson to dove hunt along the Wabash river and there were a lot of crows down there. It was the biggest group I've seen outside of Terre Haute. Hopefully I'll be able to get down there sometime if they stick around. Rivers are where it's at...too bad I don't have any close by that I can hunt by myself.
