Best wire for hanging decoys
Permalink

Anyone have suggestions which wire is the best for hanging the decoys with a pole.  For the flambeau I use a coat hangers but for the greenhead after a while the hole on the decoys cracks and is no longer any good.  The coat hanger does hold up its strength over time.

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,
I use the coat hangers also. I spray them flat black and they are ready for action.

I tried the black wire out of a piece of house romex 12 gauge wire seems to be the smallest 10 would be better. It also bends easy cause it's copper so to get em down they straiten out plus there already black.

I haven't tried hanging my ghg yet, but for the carrylites I use coat hanger wire.

I also use coat hanger wire. I thought about spraying the wire black, but I figured that would look un-natural once the leaves fall, so I left it shiny and after a couple trips the wire rusted and became a nice brown color.
