My Firestorm arrived yesterday. Been playing with it in the house and at work, getting used to the controls and all.  Love it. Soon and very soon will be taking it out. It has a mix of predator sounds and crow sounds. Nice and light, about the size of a 6volt flashlight.  A friend suggested I get a kids small umbrella to put over it on drizzley days.....

Sun to your back, birds in your face....happy hunting guys,
Pat

Is that the one that switches sounds at the sound of a gun shot? If it is it would be great forvthe mourning call durring a fire fight.

Hi JD,

That new feature is FoxBang and I agree it would be nice to switch to Mourning or "Death Cry" at the shot.  I think I will get this upgrade on a FoxPro remote later this year.  I requested it on my new Snow Crow Pro, but it is not offered for that model.

Regards,

Gadget Bob

Hey Pat, as far as an umbrella on a rainy day to protect your call...for my FX3 I use a big ziplock plastic bag...works fine...I think they suggest that on the Foxpro site somewheres.

They are water resistant not water proof. Keep your eye open for a camo or green nylon bag I have one from sent lock and it's camo I sprayed it with water repelent and I drape it over the caller so I do not interfer with the 2 speakers.

Hi pat,
I picked up a nice little brown 6x8 tarp at walmart and spray painted it to a camo scheme and cut off a small piece to wrap around my fox pro Ecaller and it works great.just leave the ends open so that your sound escapes.
happy hunting!

Today had scattered showers. I tried an extra large freezer bag. Worked good.
My remote got wet though. It's drying now.
