I have a friend who uses his blackpowder shotgun...he more enjoys the experience of the weapon and the focus while using it on crows...if he wanted big numbers hed use his semi...but he gets quite a few and really seems to enjoy doing it old school.

Hi TD,

Our own Lone Star Phil uses his Ruger Old Army as a "finisher", for our occasional cripples, and it is a finely accurate wheelgun.  Splash One also made a number of excellent long range shots into one of the Red River cheeks we frequent a weekend ago.  At 50 yards or so, it still delivers!

Regards,

Gadget Bob

not for crows, but I shot a goose with a sxs 12 ga muzzleloader last year. It was loaded with steel & stoned the goose at about 20 to 25 yards
