Tomorrow is the 1st day of bear season in Pa. I'll go out and sit in the woods and think about crowhunting on sundaybiggrinbiggrinbiggrin.confuse I guess I caught crowfeverohmygod.gif!

What caliber do you use? Is it an inclusive firearm season where you can use rifle, pistol, shotgun, etc?

U guys better hury because read in paper hear in ky saw some one shot a big bar there in new york are pa! Think it close to a world record.

If it's the pic of the one I seen floating around it's 800+ lbs, I will believe it when it comes out in the PA game news press other than that it could be a spoof. But it was a big bear in the pic I seen.

I was text ed a picture of that bear to my phone 4 days ago. The first thing I said was it's a fake. It should have been confirmed by now.
Tomorrow I pick up my bear permit for N.J. 2 more weeks and it's open.
Next Monday I will drag the 30-06 to Pa. for some crowded opening day deer.

There was an 850 plus pound bear shot with a bow near the poconos,in the early archery bear season. It may be new state record.

Levi I use a .308 for bear and deer, used to use 7-mag but I like the lighter and shorter gun.We can use rifle,pistol or shotgun with slugs and even muzzleloaders.

I can see why people used to come to pa. to hunt deer but not anymore,less and less deer and more and more posted land.

A member of our group got a 200 pounder on saturday.
