I am new to this. I am looking for decoys that are durrable and easy to hang. Sugestions? I picked up one of the flambeau plastic decoys form Dick's here localy. That is the only one I can find here. I will have to order anything else. Thanks for the help.

The Flambeau will work ok, there only down side is that the eyelit on the back of the Flambeau crow decoys is not very durable. The older model Carry-Lite crow decoys were much more durable, some I've used for over 30 years.
I'd keep an eye on e-bay they come up for sale quite often.

I didn't see any olded carry-lites on ebay. Is the only down side to the flams the eye hook breaks? That would be an easy fix if that is the only thing wrong with them.

Does the shade of the color black seem to make any difference to you? Flat black is usualy a little on the gray side. Satin sheen tends to be a truer black but the sheen may spook them. I saw where you paint yours ever year or so. Is there a particular paint brand you use? Does the shine on the new flambeau's affect their effectiveness?
