CAUTION!!!!   WARNING!!!!
A word to the wise.
Recently, in the past few months, I had a bitter engagement with SKB Shotguns, Omaha, Nebraska.
Here is what happened. I bought a shotgun barrel from them, new, and proceeded to shoot some paper targets to pattern the barrel. I quickly noticed that the center of each pattern was approximately 12-16 inches from my aim point, at 40 yards. I shot 4 different makes of shells, with different loads, and had the same results.

Disappointed, obviously, I phoned SKB and discussed the problem. Reluctantly, I packed up my whole gun, returned it to SKB, for them to do their own pattern testing, and contact me with their results. A few weeks later I received my gun back, with two paper patterns they had shot. As expected, their patterns were centered on their aim point. The shells they used were Winchester, of some load, but they never were able to tell me what load, or series of shells they used! Suspicious already, I called them and discussed their patterns, and shells.

After getting no where with them, and no satisfaction what ever, I asked for another barrel...no way they retorted! I asked if they had any warranty on their barrels...hell no! I must be crazy to think of such a thing. I would have thought any gun, or gun part, had a warranty of some kind. Their despicable, arrogant, uncaring attitude is unacceptable. In fact they said to me " its company policy, that when you buy from them, it's yours! Very much like politicians, would'nt you say? After you vote for them......screw you, up-yours, don't know you.

Of course, my relaying of this event to you, is to forewarn you not to ever do business with this company. Also, in conversation with them, I certainly got the idea that their business is not very good right now (let's hope it gets worse). If these shysters disappear from earth, we will all be better off.

It is our responsibility to forewarn friends, associates, fellow hunters, family, and others when we are treated as suckers, when we buy any product that is shoddy.

Any body want to buy a shotgun barrel?

Point of aim means nothing on a shotgun as the rear site is your eye. Have the gun fitted so it shoots point of impact.

As with my own shotgun the rear site is always the problem.

At SKB they viced the gun down with a lazer shell in the other barrel and shot it. That takes the rear site, your eyes out of the test.

Shotguns should be shooting where you are looking. None of my hunting shotguns even have a front bead, I never would see it anyway.
