I loaded my new Johnny Stewart Volume 1 cd onto the MP3 in my BlackBerry and conected it to a Cass speaker. Works like a charm!

Yes and Yes. The CD came with MP3 data files. It was very simple. Just connected the BB to my laptop and inserted the disk. Tell it to send the files you want to the phone or Ipod / MP3 player. When I did this it titled them as "unknown". I sent them to DOCUMENTS, changed the unknown to the correct title of each track and then reloaded them onto my phone.

I was concerned about battery life of my phone but it was not a problem. I used it from 3.5 hours and only droped one power bar.

I will post a pic and link of a home brew speaker that works great a little later.

That one is a standard 1/8" stereo jack. It is the same as ear phones or mini speakers.

Here is the site where I got the Idea to use my phone. www.varmintal.com  This is a nice website with lots of varmiting info.

I used my phone because I don't own an Ipod or MP3. My only concern was battery life, but as I said before, not a problem.

The homemade speaker is a little louder and clearer that the pre-assembled Cass. I found a 250' roll of lamp cord at Lowes on clearance for $6 and used it instead of speaker wire. I should probably camo the wire a little more but other than that, works great. The battery life of the 9 volt amp is about 5 - 6 hours of continuous use.

I am going to get a Y splitter for the 1/8" plugs. I then will be able to run both speakers at the same time.

The battery life of the Cass speaker is several hunts. It takes 4 C batteries.

Hope this helps.

By the way, I looped the mp3 so it automatically starts over at the end. I put the death cry in between the "Come here" call and the "Fight" call series. That way with a press of a button I can go back to the Death cry to bring them back in after one of there brothers has been shot.

Found a better amp. If you follow the links for the DIY above, You will end up on Predator Masters Forum. There is a amp there that is recommended. I takes a little rigging and is not "plug and play but looks like it would work better. I will let y'all know.

That is a round bail that was left over from a dove hunt. This particular bale had no strings and lots of loose hay on the ground. I took a 12' piece of burlap and some cut steaks from the nearby wood line and made a blind. The inside is larger that the top as you can see in the first pic. If you look closely in the second pic the bale end is on the left. The birds are laying on top of the bale. Just hop up on top of the bale and slide in. They were on top of me before they new I was there. Some would fly over the bale after the shooting started because they never new where it came from. I never stood up. Just shot them sitting down. Out of those few birds, 3 sets were doubles.

It is OK. There is a little distortion when pushed too hard. However I have had success with it and for $40 it is hard to beat.
