Well, we made a short hunt this AM. We were wrapped up headed out a little before 10:00 with 70 birds down. I managed to pick up one triple and my partner picked up several doubles. These pics were taken in haste as I was going to be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E if I didn't make it to my in-laws by 11.

The first pic is a bird that did not suffer. This bird was about 15' When the wad passed though. It was still coming at me when I pulled the trigger. The blast blew it about 15' the other direction. Awesome sight.

The second and third are pics of our blinds. They were about 11 yards apart. I actualy sat in a hole I wallowed out in the vines around the narled up pine.

The fourth  was taken a little before all birds were gathered. Sorry for the rushed photos.

We set a feeding spread wrapping around the corner in the blind pic. We used 3 Busters and 14 decoys. We used 2 callers, one continuously playing crow frenzy and the other sporadically with a death cry. Deadly combo for bringing the flock back to you after the shooting started.

Believe it or not, it was a 12 Ga. Winchester Super speed 1 oz. load of 7.5's through a 3/4 choke. The cheapest shell Wally World carries.biggrin Of course, at 15', and that my be a little far, a .410 would have knocked a holefurious! Lets just say the Benelli was good to me today.

Oh brother, ya can't hit em much harder than that!

Sometimes you can see the bird getting pushed sideways from the impact! One of my old business partners hit a crow like that and we got it on video, it's in the video section of Crow Busters. It's listed under "On Line Videos"

I forgot to mention that these film clips are in the "Advanced Techniques Section" and the film clip is listed under "Sudden Impact" I think you will enjoy looking at these clips.

Man, he looks like he got hit with a slug ! I wish I could get some shots that close, but where I hunt if I get them inside of 20 yds thats close. they're flying to the top of a dump hill & that's about the level they fly at. Nice pics. jerry

Not sure I would call myself good at this crowhunting, probably just lucky with a good setup and lay of the land. Not pictured were the ones that got away at close range. Just plain missed.disbelief
