Dick & I setup along "Slaughter Creek" on January 2nd, what a way to start the new year is all I can say.
We shot 589 crows from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The wind was north west at 10 to 20 mph that afternoon. I used the Fox Pro CS-24L unit. Dick shot 329 and I shot 260 that day. Here are a few action photos from that afternoon.
Those are "Sun Stiks" that we made! In any north wind you have the sun to deal with, mornings are the worst! We can raise and lower them as the sun goes up or down during the day! Keeps you in the shade so you're face does not shine, thats why I never have to wear a face mask!

I like that one the best myself because it captured two birds in the frame, one getting hit, and one about to be hit!
I love to capture the moment if the birds are working in real well. In photo # 3 you can see how low some of them were, you could have used a 410 on a lot of them that afternoon.

Yup, nothing fancy, just don't make the camo to long. 12 to 15 inches long by 12 to 15 inches wide will be just about right. Get a bungy cord to wrap it fairly tight so the camo does not flap in the breeze.

In photo # 3 you can see that crow boaring through the timber and he can't wait to dive into the fray to join the fight!
Photos #1 and 2 show the CS24L 30 watt Krakatoa speakers. This is a slick unit and as long as you carry two sets of AA batteries you can go the whole day with plenty of volume.
