Pet Crows, My College Years

The crow is a creature of habit for sure.

I grew up hunting crows and fighting my movements and making sure I was in full camo. Taking crows over and over weekend after weekend from 1990 - 1995. Always thinking about a strategy to get in close without being seen.

Then I went off to college.  When I walked out of the bars at night I remember seeing 100's of birds roosted in the trees in downtown Lansing.  I use to walk up and look eye to eye with crows at 3 feet away on the city streets.

They are interesting birds.  Adapting to their environment, they know when they are in danger, and they when its safe.  Smart little fellas.

What are your thoughts on this topic?

Search for the "nature" on PBS and watch that hour long special. Very interesting.
