Hi Fellow Crowbusters,

Are any of you planning to attend the upcoming Shot Show later this week in Las Vegas?  If so, lets meet at one of the vendor's booth at a pre-arranged time...

Regards,

Gadget Bob

Hi boys,

Got back from Show Show 2011 in Las Vegas late Friday night.  On the return flight was Scott Robertson, shotgun pro for Beretta, Brian "Pigman" Quaca and Wade, head gunsmith for Shilen barrels.  They are all great guys to meet.

A few items of interest for my Crowbusting peers from this year's event:

Diana - makers of the RWS air rifles - have introduced a new Crow steel field target - http://www.dianawerk.de/en/ansicht.php?bigpic=Kraehe_g.jpg  It is slick and, Skip, guess who has the first one?

Flambeau is now offering new "flocked" decoys.  Our buddy Minnesota John, who was also at the show, snagged a dozen of them

Mojo is no longer offering their "Mojo Crow"...

Remington has a new autoloading 12, the VersaMax...  Minnesota John is going to get one, too.

Volquartsen has new .17 HMR and .22 Mag models.  I ordered a .22 Mag "SuperLite" and plan try it on crows/raccoons later this year upon receipt.  Shipping projections are 8-10 weeks.  (BTW, I love my .17M2 Volquartsen!)

On the varmint fur hunting front, FoxPro has a slick new decoy - the BlackJack and Laser Genetics has enhanced their laser designators to work in cold weather and better handle recoil across all of their new models.

Next year's show is back in Las Vegas from Tuesday, January 17th through Friday, January 20th.  It is something every hunter should try to attend at least once.

Regards,

Gadget Bob
