I loaned an old Lohman cassette caller to my brother-in-law a few years ago.... that's how long I guess he thought borrowing was for. I guess the batteries went out and instead of trying to replace them with was original...... he wired in a Power Wheels battery. I cannot find any model numbers or seriel number on it anywhere. Does anyone know of what type or number batteries it is supposed to have. Would be nice to have it back online. It originally came in a camo bag with a speaker, charger, and the unit.
If you have a "battery store" like Batteries Plus around you can simply pull those cells and they can determine the right sized replacements. You probably can also get help at Radio Shack or by searching the web.
I replaced the batteries in my Lohman CD Caller many years back and was successful in extending its life.
Long term I suggest upgrading to an all digital FoxPro. They are a wonderful company to deal with after the sale, too. Big league customer service, when and if you ever need it.
dont know about your batteries but if you want to see something funny go to youtube and search- using the Loham crow call April 28, 2010. this is proof that even a' blind squirrel'can find a nut. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuVL1_ebNTU
If you can determine if it's a 6v or 12v battery, you can probably get those from Cabelas. I have a Western Rivers/Cabelas branded cassette caller and it uses one 12v. Here's a couple of links for your reference:

Go to any electronic supply company and ask for a 6V 4.5amp battery. Purchase two of them and wire together. These type of batteries are used for burglar and emergency light signs. I just purhased two a few weeks ago for my exact Lohman caller.
