I drove through upstate NY yesterday afternoon on the NY Thruway. Heading East a little west of Shecnectady I saw a large manure pile with many crows inbound to it from every direction. When I looked down there were at least 500 crows on or around the pile. I hit the Albany area just before 5 PM. I was I90 heading for the MA pike. As I looked to the right I saw a string of crows numbering in the thousands.
If the season is open in this part of NYS it looks to be a target rich environment.
yep, only open from friday-monday though. you shouuld see watertown, they had a crow problem and were paying guys 2 thousand a day to shoot them at night with pellet guns. where i hunt where a guy spreads manure there are hundreds if not thousands there at a time
