Those crow calls were made using a hand call (a pair of Mallardtone crow calls) in a sound studio in Augusta, Kansas, had some country western singers there when I did that.
I've shot tens of thousands of crows with mainly the hard calls such as the fighting call, but the soft calls are good as well if used in feeding types of setups.

It's funny you mention that, me and the guy recording my crow sounds were pulling this gals leg. She made the mistake of asking me what I was recording? I said I had a couple of songs that were sure to be very popular, did she want to listen to them? Now this was a country western singer who was trying to break into the business. The guy fired up my fighting call at full volume and thats the last I ever saw of that little gal! True story!
