Would like to know what you guys have made for crow hunting.
I have made decoys, Charles and I made some sillouette targets out of 1/4" plywood. They aren't the best, but we have killed crows over them.
I also made a full-body decoy that is flying, stick a long tree limb in the ground and it rests on top. Jury is still out on that one. You can see it in my avatar bottom left row.
We have taken battery operated bats that flap their wings and I added long beaks. They worked some.
So far in my 3 week long crow hunting career I have made (with help from a brother crow buster) 21 silo's, modified some duck hunting stuff, and building an e-caller based on an i-pod and some speakers from a demo job I did last winter, I just knew they would be useful, didn't think it would only take a year to find out what for!!!!
Our season ends next weekend and for nety year I plan on carving some full bodies, finishing the caller, and without a doubt building some sort of highly portable blind.
I have made decoys from water bottles and wings clipped from dead birds. Built an extremely LOUD e-caller, modified all my Flambeau decs, made a hanger pole, Camoed up all sorts of stuff, and built a cart capable of hauling all of the above junk.
I am currently working on a blind build. I will let y'all know what I come up with.
