Any of you boys east Tn boys? I got tons of duck hunting buddies but crow hunters they are not. I have some pretty good spots and would welcome somebody to come along. Right now its just me and knobby, and our time off doesnt always line up.

Its interesting that your (or any of our)duck huntin buddies wont hunt crows, other than obvious shortness of the duck and goose seasons, just the proof that the crow is the biggest predator of game bird eggs would do it. But on the other hand more crows for us to shoot. My Dad has hunted big game in every western state,Alaska, Canadian Provinces and Africa, but he really loves shootin crows with me,we have a blast!!smile

Yes Gearly65 they are, and crow commander Jackson is 7 hours from here. If your ever up this way your welcome to hunt with us. The bear and hog hunting is south of here. I hope them flippin hogs never make it this far north.

Im in grainger co. a little hole in the wall called Bean Station. Im right between Knoxville and Kingsport. Unfortunatly our season closes today.  My moms husband is from Mississippi. Cant remember where though. He eats these things called purple hulled peas, he swears everybody in Mississippi  grows and eats them. I cant stand'em must be a Ms thing kinda like fried chicken mashed taters and cornbread in Tn. Anyways our season is only opened fri, sat, and sun. I think it opens back up in june.

Hows the duck hunting down your way?

More ducks that purple hull peas!!! I don't hunt them though. Never been bitten by that bug. I have several friends that hunt ducks and they were covered up with them this season. I mainly small game hunt and kill a deer or 10 for the freezer. This year I gave up deer for crows. LOL. One of my best friends has wild hogs on one of his places so he brought me several of them and that made up for the deer.

Sorry to hear that season closed there also. Would have been fun.
