As many veterans are aware crows are not as active on rainy days. Many animals have a sense of changing weather and react to it. What is your experience, are they moving more before a rainy day or more the day after the rain, or both.
never paid much attention, don't normally hunt in the rain, except for ducks, but I do notice the flocks flying when I'm on my way to work most mornings. I realize they're coming off their roosts when I'm seeing them but it amazes me the rainy, snowy weather I see them flying in. Seem to fly the same routes & heights I see them at on sunny days.
I think it depends on food , snow cover and bird population and/or length of bad wheather. A quick storm probably doesn't affect as much as 2-3 days of inclimate wheather. We still hunt in a drizzling rain, but during actual rainfall the birds just don't seem to fly much.

whatever i'm doing i'm thinking about crow hunting
I always think that they are out more after the stormy day. Not sure if that's right though.
One of the best days that I have ever had duck hunting was a rainy day.
One of the best days for crow hunting was a time in March and it had rained the day before and it was foggy as hell, we couldn't see the crows until they were under 20 yards. Great time that day.
