It was a great day! Thank you! I wish you many dead crows today as well. I am gonna try some run and gunning later today cuz I can't make myself sit in this "wintery mix" (as the Wx man so politely calls it) after enjoying the sun yesterday. I can only take credit for 11 of the kills. My partner and I took up crow hunting together in '07 and never had more than 4 birds on an opening day before. So we were very excited for yesterday.
Here are the results of my 20 minute hunt on opening day in NH. I couldn't make myself stay out any longer in the snow/rain. SO tired of grey skies and snow.... Went down to a river bottom/corn field that the crows were using and kicked probably 60 birds out. Waited 7 minutes for them to calm down and fired up the foxpro. They came in HOT! I knocked down 3 with the first 3 shots, reloaded one shell and smoked another! Still had a few circling so I threw in a fresh shell and downed one more. By this time they were gone and I went to pick up my kills. "Hmmm I swore I had 5 down, where did the first one I shot go?" I walked over to where he was and saw blood and tracks in the snow. In all the excitement I took my eyes off him after he folded. I tracked the bandit 400 yards across the corn field and finally found him hiding under an ice flow left in the field from the high water last week. Picked up my trophy and went back to the set up. Turned the e-call back on and had a single come in which promptly dispatched at 15 yards. Back in the warmth and dryness of the truck in 20 minutes. It was a good day.
No need to apoligize, keep the pics coming. Last week I thought we were done for snow as well until I woke up and mother nature dropped another 6 plus inches on the ground.

OUCH. We had that (in Ontario) last week and I'm still cursing, I thought we were done, but it's almost gone now and sunny skies tomorrow. I'm starting to see more and more crows everyday.
NH Crow: No better crow gun than the Maxus!! Holds five, has quick load feature, less than 7 lbs and loves to center-up crows!!!! Fine work and well managed!!
