Does anyone else get tired of reading about 6 shot vs. 7 1/2 shot? Is anyone out hunting or just sitting at the computer trying to get their point across?
Went this morning before work, killed 14 with 20 shots from a mighty 10. Two were very tall, every inch of 60 yards. They floated back over high after I killed a couple of the relatives at close range. I am trying to learn this darn sport so I am taking the advice
It's raining now but I am going to load some shells with 7 1/2 or 8 this evening because I know I would have been able to shoot further and probably would have killed 16 or 17 for 20 shots too
Lead is getting expensive, I might try scraping the poppy seeds off my bagels from Dunkin Donuts and try that but I am thinking gravel might be better.

No compromising!!! That is for politicians, not hunters! Shoot whatever size shot you feel the most confident with. If folks want to shoot #4 or #9 at crows, as long as they end up dead its a good day!
NH, congrats on your hunt this am, good job!

I hear you NHCrow. Just shoot what you want to shoot and let it go at that. Bigger bb's/more energy/less bb's.......smaller bb's/less energy/more bb's...Blah, blah, blah.....
Let it go.......just let it go.
Like I've said before..people are putting way to much thought and discussion into this. Do/use what you feel most confident in. If it's bigger bb's cause they kill at longer distances...then shoot 4 shot...why stop at 6? If it's smaller bb's because they have a better pattern..use 9 shot instead of 7.5.
Talk about POLITICIANS...the discussions (arguments) that go back and forth here sound like and Dem. and Rep. talking about healthcare....AND we don't even want to go there.
99% of us are on this site cause we like (love) to crow hunt, not to argue and argue and argue to get your point across. Believe me...you're not going to change my mind and I prolly speak for the majority here. I'm open minded enough to consider things (maybe even try things) but if it has worked in the past...why change it.
Your right!!! I would also get fine from the Board of Health for preparing food with out a license and a food perveyors permit. I may also get a fine from the EPA !!
