I was once told upon commenting about all the deer at a certain bird preserve(and I couldn't identify a single fall warbler!) and this woman said:"That's because there are hunters all around the "island"..HUH? There is?! I never saw one except me and i certainly wasn't hunting! In any case it is knowingly illegal to do that there BUT so it goes, 'facts' can be made up at any given time any place any where any how!

You have a very difficult choice to make here...is that a hot spot? I have faced 'innocent" hunting interruptions where the horse girls come out so I have to pick up and leave and direct harassment where all of a sudden out of the blue a handful of children come out flying kites.....tell me that was "innocent'-their parents sent them!

Another case was where we became the "problem"....on the other side of the woods was a camping ground and here it is Sunday morning...there sure was a lot of yelling!

We grabbed our stuff and bailed..nothing else we could do! no, we were not chased...we melted into the woods on the other side of the clearing...but one problem is they actually teach our public school children to hate hunting...now you got people handling any animal flopping about not knowing that creature might be rabid like that young woman who handled that day time bat which naturally bit her with the resulting horror story but she survived. What happened was she didn't know the bat was rabid; they don't teach that in school. Only dancing bears and goofy jack rabbits and ring around the rosy with all these bi-pedal animals like the one New York City based animal hugging organization used to post on their pamphlets...

Ironically most of these people never hunted..hate themselves (you ever read some of the more radical stuff? Like that PETA outfit does or has been known to do? And who remembers "Hunt the hunters hunt club?)

The guy who USED to shoot some of the area I now shoot almost lost his firearms licence because of a "townie" who lives very near.
So he stopped shooting this area. The townie kept calling the police saying he was "shooting directly at the house" etc.
he tried that with me, but I showed the police the direction that I was shooting in, and that it would be Impossible for me to shoot in his direction, seeing as I had my hide up against a hedgerow and row of trees between me and him, and I was shooting in the completely opposite direction.
Then he kept coming to the shooting field and yelling and banging and waving his arms. So I politely told him he was trespassing and to "get the **** back down the lane", before I called the police.
After about six months, he decided it was better not to rile me, and now leaves me well alone :)
In fact, sometimes he even waves at me now :)

the fact that the police also warned him for perjury (he signed a written declaration that I was shooting towards his house) may have helped :)

Hunter harassment or not it is still harassment under the law..
and about the greater north east and fire arms? It is true; all someone has to do in Massachussettes is accuse you of doing anything with a gun and off to the slammer you go. I know for a fact that if you go to court for any reason fire arm related then you are GUILTY. It will run all the way to the state supreme court where the judges are all "liberals"...what are your chances? Better hope the jury is from western mass would be my best guess...Massachussettes has gone back to the very line of thinking it once opposed.
"Boston Tea Party"? not today. Forget it.
that state once voted in by referendum a tax limit and guess what happened/ The then governor sued the state and got the tax limit removed!
This would be then 'Governor' Michael Dukakis vs. proposition 2 1/2.....and what can be said about that "Year in jail" gun "law' he had put up in bill boards across every entry into the state? Finally some one had them lawfully removed...also you can go to jail for one year for having a bb in your pocket...apparently the "right to keep and bear arms"-they said ARMS meaning going armed-was thrown out the window.
Armed with the weapon of your choice well of course a bb isn't going to do anything but you get the point....
Massachussetttes allows the attorney general to ban any gun he don't happen to like...the state police carry glocks but you cannot have one in the state of massachussettes-go figure right This gives states offering firearms for sale to be called "Massachussettes "compliant'..never fails to give me a twist of irony to read that in neighboring states...
Concealed carry? after taking classes and all that, police license to buy you still must get a Lawyer to help you get your permit, and you must try to use pepper spray first before you shoot...anyone see on youtube where that pepper spray don't work? There are vidoes up with the cop spraying down violent criminals ...
But anyways you must shell out something like $500.00 to be able to exercise your right to keep and bear arms which shall not be infringed so long as you have $500.00..but that is not "infringement"...

Known as "Bartley-Fox' the one year in jail gun law was mandatory and the one who screwed up the effort to throw criminals in jail was the original director of Gun Owners action League(who was thrown out of the league for this disastrous screw up) instead of targeting criminals it targeted anybody and everybody which led to todays' sad sorry state of affairs for massachussettes gun owners...now the concealed carry is more difficult than ever to get and you still must get police permission to buy a gun ..one for long arms, one for handguns...you know the rest...

One of the original authors of Bartley-Fox said;"I license people-not guns"..uh huh..okay..under what pretext? Something like that anyways..or the other way around...it all amounted to the same sad sorry state of affairs...

True to form you have other states in the northeast which are just as bad notably New York state and even Connecticutt is pretty bad..this taxi driver was forced to shoot a fare in self defense who stabbed him in the neck with something and the guy died...the taxi owner was acquitted but some prosecutor who hated guns managed to sell the idea that a taxi "was not his place of business" and is there fore guilty of "carrying illegally!" The judge bought it and the fellow is now a felon..

'God bless America" and all that you know...."shall not be infringed" indeed! Except where ever "convenient"!

"Government convenience" that is!
