The long wait until August begins today as the winter/spring crow season in NH and southern Maine closed yesterday.  We had the best winter/spring season ever shooting 395 between us, all with side by sides and most with 2 7/8" 10ga.  Always a sad task to clean out the truck, clean and put away gear.  I'll turn my head every time I hear a caw until I can again respond back with a call and load of #6 biggrin

NH, i would like to say, good- no GREAT job getting such high numbers. You have inspired me to shoot a goal of 200 crows in 2011. lol. I still have a month in VT to chase them but I don't have the access to farmland over there.

8, I don't feel bad for you at all, ya'll were putting up good numbers while we were up here waiting for our measly 2 week season in New Hampshire.biggrin It was nice to see your pics though, gave me something to do during the nasty winter.

NHCrow, we get our best opportunity to rack up some good numbers for this part of the country from mid October through early November.  You should be able to get 200 easy in the fall.  Crows migrate through here when it's deer season.  I'd rather be out shooting crows than sitting in the woods waiting for one shot that might not come but that's just me.

Yes the NH spring season is two weeks long 3/16 to 3/31, fall is 8/15 to 11/30.  We buy a Maine small game license and hunt them over the border as Maine's spring season is 2/1 to 3/31.

Well bless y'all heart! If that is the case, I will through out a standing invitation... Any of you y'all ever around Mississippi between first of November and last of February, You have a standing invite for a crow shoot. There is a hunting season of some sort open in Mississippi year around.

Any time any of you fellows find yourself down south, give me a shout. We will put you on something even if it is just an ole deer, (We have more of them than crowssmile).

I shot a feral cat yesterday. That helped ease the pain for a bit...
