Do what I did. I started crow hunting this past season. I went back in this forum and read EVERY post there was to read.
I soon started seeing patterns of what people were using for setups. You will see lots of pics of setups and blinds and guns and dead crows and callers and what to look for in picking spots.
Us sending you info that is already here will do nothing for us or you. Read what is here then practice what you learn and you will be a very good hunter.
This was my first season and I saw over a thousand birds hit the dirt. Nothing comes easy in this world. Read all you can then practice ever chance you get.
At your age I didn't have a lot of help learning how to hunt. I pretty much taught myself to hunt and fish. It is doable but I would have been much better off if I would have had the resources you have here.

game - so, you have read the beginner info, but don't have $5 for a membership, but you are still on this forum, and you would like if we'd send you some gadgets to help your crow hunting cause. Is that about right? If you give a mailing address with your parents' okay, I'll send you a fake gut pile that I made. How's that? Maybe even a decoy with long string to look like it's feeding that I made.
I took a can of foaming insulation, some red, black, and blue spray paint, and some fake fur from craft store. When you spray one color over the top of each in layers it looks great. Got the idea on the web, Game! Here are a couple more...

I will make you a deal. You read ever topic, (except for the hate mail) on the web page and all post on the forum and I will pay for your membership to crowbusters so you can read all the advanced topics also.
I have 6 kids of my own and I love to see kids take an interest in hunting.
This will be on an honor system. All you have to do to collect when you are finished reading is post a topic for all to see and I will forward the guys over at crowbusters the money for you subscription. I do not want any contact Info from you or anything in return nor should you ever give that info to people on the Internet that you do not know. This will be contingent on your parents approval of course. But if they say it is OK, Do we have a deal?

The difference between a fighting call and feeding call is the fighting call is a sequence of a hawk and crow, or owl and crow fighting. The feeding call sequence's if theres food there.
Run and gun: Hunters go to an area that they have identified holding some crows, usually in woodlands with the use of e-callers or mouth calls. They entice the crows to come in for a quick look. Hunters may get a couple of good vollies at the crows before they need to move on to a different area.
thats all i could find.

Those were very well thought out answers for a twelve year old. Heck, I know grownups that couldn't have articulated them any better.
You will find the answers to the other questions on the home page.

These are very old articles about crow hunting. in reading them you will see some tried and true methods that are stilled used to take crows. The cowbell one is kinda neat and tells me I should think outside the box. Dynamite was used to break up crow roost and kill thousands at a time back in the old days.
I will be placing an order with crowbusters in a few days. If I have permission from your mom or dad, I will pay for your subscription to crowbusters so you can read the "advanced articles and techniques". Tell one of them to PM me.
