I did not think that Benelli could make a gun uglier than the Nova.

...they came damn close with the Vinci IMO.

But what do I know, Ive been shooting an 870 for the past few years. hehehe.

Ok, so here how 2011 has gone thus far,  I blew my back, when for the MRI , found two blown discs , pinched the sciatic nerve, lost feeling in my right leg, , was looking at getting cut open, went for physical therapy, have been in therapy for 3 month and making great strides.  Waking up in no pain is great thing or being in no pain is a great thing.   That is the short of one part.

So I have to get back up and running so that and heres the kicker...........

I had made my wife one of these home slide shows of us getting together, our wedding, Caitlynn coming along, then Caroline, with both of them and things. Thinking this was going to be great. Right ? Wrong ! She was balling. She said it was tears of joy. Well fast forward a couple of months and she drops the ball of wanting to have another child. At first I was not a real fan of the idea, just because of the financial end of another child and turning 40 this year. So after long thought and figuring this could be my chance for a boy. I sat her down and said , I'll make a deal with you. If you buy me a New Benelli . Now at this point she has stuck out her hand, with the words" DEAL "coming out of her mouth . So I figured that I was not going to let her back out of this deal.

So the only question now is which one ?

BH, I did have a SBE I till Caitlynn got her hands on it. She is moving up this year for the 410 to the 12ga with  dove loads.

Just kidding!! kids are great as long as they are not mine!!biggrin Good luck, hope you get a boy.hell that kid will be huntin up a storm in no time with you and Jon!!smile

Your right on the back issue,I had a slipped disc,I was in pain for 6 months, same issues with pain in the legs and groin area,I had a massage theropist that was really into alinment theropy, only a few weeks and it was like it never happened.Never forget that God gave us many ways to heal ourselves.smile

Love to help you out Jon but I can't tell one gun from the other in the picture.  Maybe the pic looks better on other computers?

Get a Remington (haha...my favorite...not trying to start a debate.).

Anyways.... good luck on child 3 (if it happens).  Hope you get your boy...but girls are fine too and can hunt.  I have two boys and one girl and wouldn't trade em.

And just think, you get a modern day arrow launcher to go with that new boy. Good trade and good luck.smile

Pup..don't waste time and good money buying any currently made automatic shotgun made by Browning, Benelli, or Beretta. I have suspicion that Mattel, or Fisher-Price (toy companies) make these ridiculous, gaudy, tawdry guns in China with slave teenagers. The three B's sell them to gullible Americans because jungle jive turkeys in Brazil know not to buy them!

If you suffer from inconfidence, have an ego problem, and country-club peer-pressure on your back, then go ahead. Then you will be comfortable with everyone else in that circle, and you will feel warm and cozy that you are just as.... everyone else.

Dare to be different. Buy a Ithaca XL300 or XL900 on Gunbroker.com, and you will never be sorry!

I sold all my Remington's, Brownings, Berettas, and Winchester's, bought 3 Ithacas, and have'nt looked back.

Now I am going to put on my flak jacket, and dodge the shrapnel!

First off, get two pair of coveralls for each girl to wear until she turns 21 or even 25.

Next off, a daughter in the field is just as precious as a son in the field. I have a friend that has an eight year old girl and she not only adores Hannah Montana but can catch, gut, and cook her own fish and partridge. Plays hockey and in the summer soccer. Does her nails and wears pretty dresses. When that girl hits 14/15 he'll have to get the coveralls and a pair of attack dogs to roam the yard, just to keep the riff-raff from sniffing around.

Next, you might get a son and a gun out of deal......bonus.

Third, I know you said Benelli. I can't help you there. Was a pump gun for years then went to gas gun. Love my SX3. No experience with the Benelli line. Maybe too late to renegotiate but with a screen name of puppypopper (I assume coyote hunter too.) maybe a .50 BMG or 20mm  mounted on truck bed for them 2 mile shots........

Best of luck to you. I have 4 children. Two of each. And ALL are priceless. By the way,  finance wise,  the first two are the hardest, barely notice the third one, and the fourth one flows right in with no change.

Pat

Shane - yep but not as expensive as the cost of the last 4 Disney trips that I have not been on.

Jon - I got an 18' Astro , wish it was a War Eagle though.

PH - Remington 1100 - still the best gun ever made. Got one in 16 ga.

8 - I wish I had some pic of Caitlynn and her long bow. From when she was 4 to 9 she used to go with me to the local archery shoots. She got me in the leg one day. Still can't figure out how that one happened.

Ken - You forgot the other B - Baikal , made in Russia. Its the best gas operated 3 1/2" $400 gun I could find. Shoots great.

Hiz - the first two, but they only run up to 3". Were gonna go big or we won't go at all. 3 1/2"'s . I met , sat, and talked with Phil for about an hour one day in Raliegh. He was here talking about duck hunting and stuff. At that time I did not know who he was nor did I care. So we talked about the bible instead.

Pat - Coveralls and long range rifles for the boys. I figure if they can out run one of my bullets they can touch my daughters, if they can't , they will kept their hands to themselves and yes I am a yote chaser or was util Jon turned me onto crows. still goto get back on those dogs.

nh - If you get a chance , go to www.ivorybeads.com and check out those guns. NICE, you might need another mortgage for some of those.

shad - I wish I could.

Hiz - I put an Extrema 2 in my hands today. That was not a good thing. I held really nice and I mean really nice. I guy that works with my wife said that he would let me try his out to see if I would like it.

Main - no , my wife wants a third child. We'll I joking told her that she would have to buy me a Benelli first before we could have another child. Its a Win - Win for me. I get to try to have a boy and get a new shotgun, that she pays for.

Pat - Yep.

Jon - My Hero .

Welp, she done it. I knew she had been talking with a guy at work. John and I had grew up together so for some reason she thought his opinion would matter in this deal. So here is what she brought home to me.

I guess I should  not come plain. biggrin

Now I just have to find time to test it out.

Hey Jon, I do appologize about not getting up with you last weekend.  We broke ground on the new site and things have not let up sense the boss has been out.

That will be much softer on the shoulder than a Benelli and there are accessories out the wazoo for those beauties. You can easily tailor them to fit you like a glove.

Tell me about it. I took the E-2 out yesterday for a run. The gun points great and fits good. Once I got home my oldest pics the gun up, shoulders it and says " Yep, dad this one fits just fine. " She turns 12 in October. I laughed at her. I quickly told her that the Benelli is hers and the Beretta is mine.

So at this point it is :

Baikal MP-153
Benelli SBE
Beretta Extrema 2

Hopefully that should cover me for a while. Once the younger one gets a little older and bigger I'll put her on the 410.

My oldest in 09 on opening day of dove season.

She done well if you ask me, she could have brought you home a nerf (vinci) gun. Good luck on the boy and have fun trying.
