About two weeks ago, Bulpup posted a notice that the website....http://macaulaylibrary.org has live recordings of American crow, and other crows, that are "cool". Thanks Bul, as this website is indeed interesting. In fact, I am going to transfer a couple of the sounds into my Foxpro.
When on the website, type within the " find" box...corvus brachyrhynchos, which is the scientific name of the American crow.
Question. What is the crow saying in sound No. 18 (the minor number) 135436 (the major number). Both numbers reference the same sound, at least temporarily. Sometimes, on this website, the minor number will change, but the major number always refers to the same crow sound. Just keep looking til you find 135436, as this is one of the sounds that I am asking about.
Also, minor No. 42, major No. 93768 is a good recording. What is this crow saying? When, under hunting conditions, could either be used?
Some thoughts that I have as to what their saying:
Where is everybody...attention.. here I am...discovered something...I'm lonely and horney...you guys eat, I'll watch out...just tooting my horn...theres a man over here...I'm roosting here....have a seat, we'll chat....NASCAR stinks....I'm teaching youngsters to crow....rendezvous here...Bob Aronsohn could'nt hit a crow in the ass with a bass fiddle.......
