Michael was one of 343 brother firefighters that made the ultimate sacrifice that fateful day. May our prayers go out to those brave souls, first responers and civillians that lost their lives ten years ago today.
SFF. T. S. Chick, Reg. #1625, Winnipeg Fire Department.

I spent last week on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where there are several military bases. I did not miss a single opportunity to thank everyone I ran across in uniform. I have also started thanking all our police and firefighters ever chance I get. They all need and deserve our support and prayers.
I sometimes run across them here where I live. I will buy their lunch if I can get away with it without them knowing who did it.
God bless all of you who have served in any complicity, local or abroad.
I will continue to pray for the families who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

There is a small Naval base there near the shipyard. Lots of our warship are built in Mississippi. There is also a very large Air Force base on the coast called Keesler. May be others in that area also. A lot of training goes on down there with all our military.
