Started off the season with a hunt over a section of cut beans that was near a land field and close to a roost. Killed 72.

Broke for lunch then off to a staging area near a few pecan trees in a bottom on the other side of the roost. Killed exactly 100 on this set.

Pictured is my son Noah and Allen my partner. Noah kill 5 this morning and then killed 15 more this afternoon. Not to bad for a nine year old little fellow! All the time at the range is certainly paying off for both of us.

There was a 25 min stretch where we killed 45 birds and  another time when it was just as heavy but not as long. I couldn't keep shells in the gun and operate the counter. Fun Stuff.

Boondockers are great!

BTW. Only picked up what was in clear sight and left all other lay.

Had a HUGE red tail hawk attack Buster and hold him down. Buster was a trooper and even after being knocked off his perch he still managed to keep one wing sticking up out of the grass and flapped it at oncoming crows as a sigh of peace.biggrin Way to go Buster. You da crow!!biggrin

Way to go 8, wish we had crows around here to come in like that. How did your reloads work, did you use them?

Hello Greg,

You can tell by the photo that the kid likes what he does with you!

How old is he?

Reloads were used on most of the birds. Allen shot a few new shells but mostly reloads.

Great pictures, again!

You have a passle of youngsters and their headed on the right path!

I find it always accommodating to have a leftie in the gun crew.  That makes it more efficient for a two-person gun position for a duck boat/blind, a varmint stand or a crow stand!

You think the kid was having gun.. check out the expression on the dad's face. Pure crow enjoyment--priceless. Fine pictures and an even finer hunt 8. Well managed!!
