The Gong Show - A TCP Video Production!

Hi Fellow Crow Busters,

Just in time for the holidays, the Texas Crow Patrol presents a short original video production below.

Enjoy!  The quiet report of our "Metro Maxus" technology is accented vs. the impact of this hapless crow.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

GB: FINE video... and a very rare one in that the there were "bangs" at both ends. Your calculations on trajectory needed to make a dead crow plow into the drum... must have taken up an entire legal pad...!!!  Well managed.

Hi boys,

Thanks for all of your nice feedback on my first video attempt using the new EPIC 1080 Helmet Cam.  Lone Star Phil and Texas Matt will be featured in future additions.

This being the holidays, I did want to thank all of the little people that helped in this initial production, but alas I can't recall any of their names.

Hey Kev,

Learned to step back for those 3 point attempts long ago from my college classmate, Larry Bird.

Regards,

Hi Shane,

At the start of this crow hunt, we did call in a raccoon, but my helmet cam was not pointed correctly.  All of the action occured off camera.

This is Lone Star Phil weighing in that raccoon, bagged using the Hornady 4 Buck Varmint Express load in my Maxus.  It was just under 13 pounds.

We will get better video to share on future hunts.

Take care,

Hi Glen,

Thanks for your feedback and note that raccoon is about average for us.  It did have an usually black coat.  Check out the raccoon Texas Matt bagged on his recent post for a really big one.  That is clearly the biggest the TCP has shot to date.

The next time you are out crow hunting, cue up a raccoon fight sound on your ecaller with a Mojo Critter or similar predator decoy setup near your caller, and you will be surprised how often you can get a raccoon to respond. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq4CEef-1p4 This video from the TBR Outdoors boys is an excellent tutorial on raccoon calling.

On the crow shooting you will note I started to go after a double and then pulled off to pivot 180 degrees to catch the first crow smacking into that oil tank.

Take care,
