Went out this morning with a friend of mine to a state park that allows crow hunting to try out my new blind.

After 3 hours and several missed birds...we ended up with 2 birds killed and 1 that was blown from the sky, but some how got back up and flew away.

Not good by anyone's standards, but the first crows either of us have ever killed....

hooked to say the least!

It certainly was fun!

Pat, its a 12 gauge Rem 870 Express and its been one of the best guns I've owned in overall reliability and accuracy. and for only $400 with both barrels, how can you go wrong?

8, I have to thank you for the overall blind design since I used that "First Generation Blind" idea with the pvc pipe so that I could use it as either a one-man blind or a two man, one-sided blind. I did a slight variation to your leg pegs since the brass fittings were pretty expensive. So this is what I came up with:

Planning on going out tomorrow morning to hunt an apple orchard with the same buddy, will let you know how that goes.

Thanks for everyone's help on getting this going!

Well, a buddy and I hunted this morning at a local apple orchard. Called in probably 20 total crows, killing 4. We are now on the search for a roost.

Slowly, but surely getting better...

Just drive some good crow country. Stop and call using natural cover. If you spot some crows feeding or just making a general nusance of themselves, then get half mile or so upwind and call. You would be amazed how often this works outside of the breeding season.smile

Nice! You are getting the hang of it I see. You doubled your first outting score. Next 8. Then 16. See how this works.biggrin

I hadn't thought of the washer inside the fitting. Good idea.
