Best Crow Sound Ever
Permalink

I've shot crows for years (we are Run & Gunners) & started back a long time ago on the old Jonny Stewart tapes. Changed over to Fox Pro several years back & have used it successfully ever since (so much easier than a heavy, tape eating bag caller). I have EVERY crow sound offered on MP3 or fxp from FoxPro, Bob Aronsohn & the one JS crow CD I found (I’ve tried all the free downloads around also). There are some decent sounds in that mix but the JS are by far the best.

There is still one of my favorite sounds from the old tape days I have yet to find it or a suitable replacement. I have tried everywhere to find the JS "Single Excited Crow" on MP3 format with no luck. I even recently bought a new Tape (JS Single Excited)  & tried recording the fresh new tape to the computer & save as MP3; but there is too much “white noise” to be usable at volume.

If anyone has any CLEAN crow sounds; ESPECIALLY the JS “Single Excited Crow” in MP3 format, or knows were I can get them,  I am willing to buy them. Send me a PM . I know JS released several more crow sounds on the PM cards. Just hoping to find those in MP3. Also, if you have any other CLEAN sounds I would be interested. Or if you could point me in the direction where to purchase.

I also recently found “S T O WILDLIFE CALLS” on the web & they have some Crow Mp3’s that look interesting. However, there is no preview. Plus, some of the crow sounds (Fox Pro’s sounds especially) sound good on low volume on the computer, but are less than desirable on volume 40 in the field. I am not interested in anything that sounds like it was recorded in a soup can. Can anyone comment on the quality of the STO sounds?

Also have a question if it’s possible to transfer” Wildlife Technologies” sounds over to play them on a FoxPro (I have a FX-5). Anyone have favorites of those?

Thanks for the offer & replys but I was able to find a decent recording done from a tape (still not as clean as the JS MP3's but definiatly usable). Not sure why JS never release a CD of their other sounds. I would snatch it up in a heartbeat!

If anyone has a really clean version of the sound I would still be willing to pay for it.

Sorry my first post was looking for something (& a mis-titled teaser to get some attention)... I've watched this site for a long while lurking. Lots of good info. Not much more fun than a good crow shoot.

Just downloaded Bob's crow sound pac into the FX3 last night. Looking forward to this weekend and tryen some news calls out.

Also got permission to hunt 2 new areas (farms) this week. I had scouted these areas a week ago and saw plenty of crows,2 flocks of 50-70 birds, which is big for this area. I believe they will be virgins to the caller as well......should be a fun Saturday !!

Oh yea, thats a must. We started crow hunting about 5 years ago. I remeber it well. My buddy said we needed to get in a local tournament, because after all....how hard can it be to kill some crows.....

we checked in at 1pm with zero crows....and thus the addiction began. We have learned a lot since then, in fact we won that same tournament last year. We still love hunting them, and get humbled a good share of days we go out, but it's fun.

Wife says I'm addicted, and she right...lol!! We actualy bought a new camo that was at Cabelas this year, kind of a mix between snow camo regular, preety good stuff depending on the conditions. We now have 3 diff camo's to choose from...snow, no snow, or patchy snow. I already had all of Fox pros crow sounds loaded, just wanted to add, got 20 crow calls in the FX3 now. Gonna load the rest in my buddys FX3 tonight.

Hahaha, We did the same thing our first time out. When I think back on how we used to go out, I can't believe we ever killed some...........confuse

While hunting last Saturday, I shot a crow high above us. As it was spinning towards the ground, my buddy Josh starts saying, "and Frazier goes down, Frazier goes down!!"

Maybe you had to be there, but I almost fell over laughing........biggrin
