Hello from Ontario Canada!

Just recently signed up on the board but I have been reading for quite a while now.  Let me just say that there is a wealth of information on here and I appreciate all of it.  There is nothing better than a group of people with the same interests helping each other out.

I do have a few questions and hopefully some one here can shed some light.  I would like to become a member and pay the $5, but as our currency is different so how much would I actually have to pay.  Also someone in another post mentioned that you could purchase the membership when you order from the CrowMart, but I did not see an option for this.  One more quesion, Im wanting to purchase a DVD and call combo, but not sure which one to get.  The Jack Mincey Combo or the Mallardtone combo, and if anyone can make a recommendation on the other call ie: Gibson models I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

fil

Welcome to CB Fisherfil. I'm a neighbor of yours just to the west in Manitoba. I have a couple Gibsons which I like. One seems tuned a bit higher like a young or excited crow. The other is deep and raspy, like an oldtimer crow that's been up and down a flyway a few times.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm from Nova Scotia.
I heard a rumor the other day, that crows are protected in Ontario, and you are not allowed to hunt them there.
I thought that would not be correct. But seeing as how you live there.........is that true???

They are not protected, there is an open season on them here year round. It makes for some good shooting but I bet certain times of the year are better than others.

Welcome from Illinois. Not sure about which call combo you should get as I'm in the same boat. I think I'm going to go with the mallardtone, seems to get a lot of praise around here.
