I just bought a FoxPro Firestorm a few months ago and was out crow hunting for the first time with it. I did pretty well getting them in…now I just need to work on how to shoot
Anyways, the only sounds on the caller is the crow fight, struggling crow and dying crow so I’m looking to add more sounds to it. I see in FoxPro’s library they have at least 7 sounds that I’d like to add. I also see that BobAronsohn has a sound pack that I’d like to add but a little wary because I can’t seem to find any call sound samples. I’m 100% I’ll have the 7 crow sounds plus Bob’s sound pack but I can only get one or the other right now. After the two rifles I just bought, she’s watching me pretty close so getting just one set of sounds is going to be challenge.
So does anyone know where or if there are any sound samples of the Bob A. sound pack for the FoxPro system?
Can't help you as far as samples go, but I'm sure some of the guys here have that Bob A. sound pack and could attest to the quality of it.
I think we've all been in your shoes as far as buying "too much hunting/fishing crap...why the hell do you need to spend $300 on new stuff, whats wrong with the old stuff..."
If I could only have 1 of the 2, I would go with the Fox Pro sounds.
I have both Fox Pro and Bob's calls on my caller. I have my favorite calls from both, but if I had to run with just one set it would be Fox Pro's. With both sets of sounds, I have my favorites which work well for me, and others I seldom use.
Thanks Buzz I talked to FoxPro this afternoon and they said there's not any sample clips of the sounds. Not sure why and they couldn't tell me either. There are only 4 I'd really be interesting in hearing or knowing more about but I guess it's a big secret. At least that's what I think after seeing someone on the FoxPro forum asking the same exact question about sound samples and nobody answered him
Let me ask you this Buzz, out of the ten crow sounds from Bob's package, how do you like the following sounds below?
04B - Excited Crow Call 05B - Mourning Call 06B - Come Here Call 07B - Recognition Call
On the FoxPro list I'm looking to load the following.
I use excited crow, crow come here. I also use young crow fight from Bobs sounds, as well as the adult crow distress.
Crows are funny, the sounds they like today, may not be the same set that works well tomorrow. Load a set in there and go try it, you will soon figure out what sounds your crows like, and like me, will develope your go to calls. That number 280...crows....thats a good one as well!
I have Bobs entire soundpack, and I do use some of them occasionally........I use the excited crow sometimes, and I use the come here call quite a bit.....I find myself using the Foxpro sounds more though........
I've added at 9 new crow sound to the calling the other night. I'm sure the Bobs sounds will be coming but for the fall season. Thanks for all the help and replies
