Not a bad way to spend the last day of your official crow season. Were you solo, run and gunning or shooting from a blind?

I was hunting with a buddy..........the first 7 were killed in a feeding setup out of a blind first thing in the morning, the rest were taken run and gun.........here is a list of the run and gun sets in order, and the number of crows......2(4),3(1),4(0),5(2),6(1)

That's workin' hard to git-er-done right there! Nice way to end the season.

We actually only had about three misses until we got to the fifth set, then that went down the tubes..........we should have came out of that one with at least 7, but we rushed getting set-up, and didn't really expect that many crows to come in...........we had ourselves hid in a hemlock tree too much to shoot effectively.........Im sure you know how that goes......

Buckshot,

Congratulations!

Glad you guys had a decent day.  Bet you did a little celabrating afterwards.

I got out later in the morning and cracked the first two.  The wind just kept getting worse as the day went on in the area I was hunting and the rest that I called were all high flyers.  It was still fun to crack a couple of more before the season ended though.

I think we all have "failed" more than once in finding that fine line between being hidden good enough...and hidden to good to shoot...biggrin

I had one fly by me last weekend that my buddy had just missed, that crow was realy moving...and realy close...my 1st shot was probly 2 foot behind it, 2nd shot may have warmed his tail feathers...got it on the 3rd shot.....I was laughing at myself for being so slow.....biggrin

I may have done better by turning the gun around and using it like a ball bat........lol!!
