Crows are now beginning to gather here in the hundreds as young fledge and family groups join ranks. At sunset yesterday I shot a flyway that lead into a roost of several hundred birds. Managed to collect 9 crows for 11 rounds fired. Picked up three for a photo and all were youngsters. The best is yet to come!
We got big crow problems now. Got another permission yesterday, that makes almost 6,500 acres I have now lol. Two farms have already rang asking me to shoot the crows that are attacking the winter barley, but I'm moving house at the moment, so guns are in storage. I'm having to get one of my good friends to shoot them for me untill I've finished moving, and the FEO has okayed the new security arrangements.

If you or the land owner would be willing to pay our travel and expenses, I am sure a few of us on this side of the pond would be willing to help a fellow crow hunter out with the crow trouble...........you gotta buy the beer also.......

Yep, unfortunately I'm short on funds at the moment, due to moving etc (have to furnish a 4-5 bedroom farmhouse), so I'm afraid I'll have to give a miss on your kind offer. Of course, this means you'll miss out on that nice warm English beer lol
