Texas Crow Patrol Recruiting Drive - A Good Candidate?

Hello Fellow Crow Hunters,

The Texas Crow Patrol is always interested in upgrading our effectiveness afield.  Towards that end, as the titular leader, I am always recruiting potential new members that meet our high standards.  A lot of that recruiting takes place in a restaurant that uses an owl mascot, since we are primarily bird hunters.  We have enough manly men in the current TCP organization.

This weekend we walked around a local Cabela’s and happened to find this little lady that just might uphold the shotgun efficacy of the other members of TCP proper.  When I offered her a position in our merry band, she was nice enough to award me with some old medals she had laying around!

GB and Kim Rhode

Always thinkin'

I would like to know what the stock dimensions are on her shotgun, as you can see in the photo the length of pull looks extremely long.

Or she has relatively short arms. Either way, her combo sure works!!!

Hi Pete and Skip,

Agreed...  She will be at SHOT in January and I hope to get the opportunity to ask her about that stock fitting at that time.  I hope some of my fellow CrowBusters will also be in attendance.  It was fun meeting Skip and Minnesota John at previous SHOT Shows.

Back to Kim Rhode and her Olympic triumphs.  She explained to us at length about her choice of shotgun here at this Cabela's Allen, TX autograph signing session.  Simply, she and most of her world class competitors use Perazzi because their reliablity is superior to all others.  A few choose Beretta, but virtually no one uses Krieghoff in these Olympic events because she said they are more complicated to repair, during the 3 minutes given for gun failures, and they have a reputation for doubling.  The K-80 might be "king" at other shooting competitions, but not in these events.

In training she fires from 500 to 1000 shells per day and has worn out the hinges on some of her Perazzi's.  Isn't that awesome!

Regards,

GB,

Now there is someone that I'd like to have on my side during a firefight!

It must have been an honor to meet her.

Hi Shane,

The TCP is filled with superior "shortstops" that would intercept many of the inbound crows before Ms. Rhode ever gets a shot!

Hi Jason,

It was truly an honor to meet such a fantastic Olympian and hear her discuss world class competitive shotgun shooting in a very humble manner.

She would be an asset in a firefight, but some of the ex-SEAL's I have had the honor to meet, would be my first choice!

Regards,
