And a good time was had by all... well... except the crows! Killed 87 this morning with Skeetshooter and my 14 yr old daughter. She killed 5. We once again had a Red-tail hawk swoop in to help dispatch a walker. Got to love it when the locals get involved.
The main flyway was several hundred yards from our location so we were only picking off the ones that would break rank. Birds came form all directions and presented tough shots with a crossing wind and crazy flaring. Shooting was not for the faint of heart. Our average shell per bird was way below normal as there were very few soft shots. All close birds were left for Savannah and then we shot backup on those. We had a great time anyway in spite of the difficulty of erratic flight paths and high birds.
Sorry, No pics on this shoot.

Thanks for posting Fishermen. 87X3 shooters sounds like a bit of fun especially with the youngster. Some days under windless conditions crows arrive from all angles. Takes a bit of wind to keep their flight path and arrival true.
We had one flyway shoot a couple years ago at a small hollow opening in a river valley. Trees were on the tall side and the wind was nil. Crows arrived from all directions, communication was poor as my partner and I were separated by 40 yards or so. Shooting was sloppy, kills per rounds fired suffered as well.
