This is my back field. It's a quiet day today as its raining hard. The crows you can see, also carry on about 100 metres to each side (I.e. behind the trees to the left, and the buildings to the right) and also over the hill there will be more.
They just love this field, and when its not raining I shoot it often. Unfortunately the lower sections are like quagmires, and you sink to your knees at the moment.
This field is directly behind my house, so I get up in a morning, set up, and shoot

They all left, it was blowing a hooley and raining hard. To get into the field to set up means going through about 2ft deep mud and water. So waiting for it to dry a bit. Thursday and Saturday are looking good. But can't really trust the weather forecast here. They haven't got it right all year LOL

Put some snow shoes on and get in there.... Mabye watch the "Swamp People" on US television and learn how to get around in that mess..... Just kidding.. Best of luck you in hunting them..
Got up at 05:00 this morning, and had everything set up on he field by 06:45. First crows appeared at 07:300 and got the first 4 then missed one. Then it dried up, and nothing more came. At 09:00 went into the house and made a tea, then fed and watered the dogs and gave them a quick run. Was back on the field from 10:00 till 11:00 and during that time a solitary bird appeared. I was so taken by SUPRISE I missed it with two shots Back indoors waiting for the postman to come now. Once he's been I'll try a little longer, but reckon I will pack up for the day if nothing appears by 14:00 hours

Well, got up at 5:00 this morning, and was raining and blowing hard, so went back to bed. Got up a few hours later and the sun was shining with not a bird to be seen. About another hour and about 30-40 birds were on the field, but right in the middle. Soon as I opened my back door they were up and away to pastures new. Too much food about at the moment, roll on hard frosts, then they will he easy to decoy
