Only three today in Ontario

Got out for two hours today for some crow hunting. Conditions were crap but better than sitting at home. The wind was very strong and the farmer was out playing around with snowmobiles and stuff close to us. Everytime we had them coming in they would see the farmer and spook away. They also stayed very high so we had to switch over to full choke and #6 shot to reach them. We still ended up with three so better than nothing. I would attach a picture but not sure how to do it.

I say it every time...mostly because its how I justify spending an entire morning constructing a blind to kill 2 or 3 birds:

A DAY IN THE BLIND IS BETTER THAN A DAY AT HOME!

congrats on the 3!

With the weather being bad and the snomobiles interfereing you still had a successful day. A nice way to end the year. Three less crows out there robbing other birds nest of eggs and young birds come spring. All of the hundreds of thousands of crows across the two country raise as much hell on other nesting birds as cats do. I've see crows grab young birds out of their nest. I'm sure they take young rabbits & squirrelsas well. I see a crow grab a rat this past summer at a dairy farm I help out durring hay season. While racking hay the crows & ravens are there eating on the mice, a T/C contender with a 14 inch 410/45 barrel & #6 shot I could get several right from the tractor seat. I'm buying the barrel for my T/C later this week.
