I took my oldest son and daughter to the local spillway for some late night catfishing last night. We were there form 9 to around midnight. The fish were acting really funny. Each of them caught a nice fish. 4 and 6 pounds. I found out this morning when I checked the usgs website that the river was falling a foot ever twelve hours so that explained the lack of success.
We got home at 12:30 and I made a quick decision to get back up at 5 am and take out my frustrations on some locals. 55 paid the price for their curiosity and the catfish filets were nice and crispy for supper. Not to bad for a solo hunt. I wish skeetshooter could have gone. He is a little under the weather right now but he will bounce back soon.
