Nothing like waking your 14 yo girl up at 4 AM for a father/daughter date! We had a great time. Ended the day with 57. I new it was going to be a good day when I turned on the caller just after daylight and immediately killed a triple. We were hunting one of my favorite places. It is a large orchard that is immaculately manicured. We only hunt it once or twice a year as there are others that hunt it but it is worth the hour drive just for the view. About 30 minuets after we started shooting, a man and his daughter drove right through our set introducing themselves as "crow shooter" and moved onto the back side of the orchard. They set up 1/4 mile or so from us. They shot maybe a box of shell then left so they did not affect our hunt much at all. When they left, they took a different route than the one they enter by so I did not get a chance to talk to them. I would have like to have had a conversation with them, just not 30 minuets after the shooting started. We did not have great numbers of birds but it was a magical shoot anyway. Savannah killed several and shot more than she ever has. I was in the zone as they say. On a couple of occasions, I shot the long shots first. I did this with all the confidence in the world that nether the close birds or the long birds could escape. By taking the long birds first, the follow up shots were easy doubles and triples. Got to love it when a plan comes together.
The blinds at daylight.
The moonshine on the decoys.
The glamor shot.

Fantastic report! I hope I have a daughter that's at least willing, if not excited, to go shoot some crows with me (though maybe not for a few years anyway)...
Greg It's nice that your daughter shares your hunting intrest. Does she go hunting other game with you? Years ago when my daughter was about ten she taged along and sat with me during deer hunting in New York and Pennsylvana, I'd take a furniture pad so she could bundle up keep warm on the cold days, Now I wish I would of took pictures. Having that extra set of eyes along produced a couple of deer that I probably wouldn't of seen. Pat
