Feeling a little bit guilty about wasting all these crows, I was wondering if anybody actually eats the crows they shoot?  Any good recepies?  West Vile Virus?

Thanks

I have eaten them. Dark meat, sort of similar to Canada goose. Very good flavor.

I believe that there are some recipes on the homepage of this site. I breast them out, de-bone, throw into a ziplock bag with a little olive oil and Worcestershire sauce. Let them marinade over night and then lightly fry.

DO NOT overcook them or you can't chew it.

I know nothing of West Nile virus.

On the Sportsmen's channel there was a show where a restaurant cooked them.  While those who tried it said it was good, the look on their face told a slightly different story.  If I was hungry I would eat one in a minute but after watching that show I have no plans on giving one a try.

I have eaten many figuratively, none literally. But have taken lots to be eaten by others over the years.

Read these two threads before you get the deep fryer or sushi board out:

Not going to be on the menu any time soon.

Maybe if I had a starring spot on doomsday preppers.

At the end of my video that I posted on Monday you will see a plate of country fried crow with home style pepper gravy. It was really good. In order to tenderize a little bit I pound them out a little flatter

By the way, crows really don't eat anything different than a wild turkey would

Arnold c. The way they eat the same thing as turkeys. I totally agree. I've been saying that on here for a while now.

They definitely need tenderizing, but aren't too bad. I usually pound them out, coat them in breading, and fry.
